To be fair...

more often than not, the officiant either gets out of the way of 'the shot', or they kinda hide behind the B&G for the kiss. Not all of them stand there like goombas watching the couples' first kiss. Lucky for me...

And my favorites are the anticipatory ones, where the kiss hasn't quite happened yet... the expressions are just the best.
Another busy week here at the studio. I had a wedding Friday night that Eric was able to shoot with me... another Saturday night that I did alone, and a high school senior from Salem this afternoon. Whew!

Oh, and this is quite an honor. Wow. Can't wait to see them up!! Here are both of the designs they chose.

Marshmallow farm?

On the way home from the Tillamook Forest Center last Sunday, Eric stopped the car so I could snap some shots of what looks like a farm that produces giant marshmallows. We watched the machine that wrapped these giant hay bales in white plastic. Why they do this, I don't know. To keep the hay fresh, perhaps? It is kinda fun to picture these things as giant marshmallows, tho.

Road Trip! Part Seven: The Rocky Mountains

 The next couple of days were spent sightseeing in the Rockies with my favorite cousin, Melanie. One major highlight was a ride on the  Georgetown Loop Railroad .  The weather was perfect, the company was awesome, and the scenery was second to none. Click on one of the pictures to enlarge them into a filmstrip view. What a great ride!  I highly recommend it if you're ever in the Denver area. Next, we went to Rocky Mountain National Park.  Cousin Melanie got a shot of a moose; I was too far away.  Great shot, Mel! This was mid-June.  It was fun to see snow and walk around on it, we don't get much here at the Oregon Coast! I put my mom's ashes in the creek in her hometown. I sure do miss her. Next up:  The Tetons!

Agate Windows

The GraceNotes have been busy lately, singing at assisted living facilities around the county. We have a few more gigs coming up and booking plenty more for summer. Woo hoo! Last Sunday we sang at the Yachats Presbyterian Church, where we found the most interesting windows. Unpolished beach agates are embedded in resin sheets and make up these windows. The texture of the resin makes it look like a watercolor painting. Beautiful! By the way, the GraceNotes have a nice new website . Check it out!
